OM standards

IIOM are supporting the development of IEC62402 Guide to Obsolescence Management into an Internationally recognised standard. IIOM Members are actively involved in this process with BSI and IEC Committees. Countries involved in the development process are: Australia, Canada, France,Germany, Japan, UK & USA. The existing guide has been adopted by: Australia, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Korea, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Sweden & UK.  
(Other standards exist in other countries but they are sector specific or too specific for international use).

IIOM members were also the core of the team that developed BS7000 part 5 and before that, Defence Standard 00-71, from which the IEC guide was developed.
